Becoming a Teacher
Choosing to become a teacher at Fresno Pacific University means that you will be well-prepared to meet the many challenges teachers face in the classroom. Thousands of teachers throughout the state of California, and particularly in the Central Valley, have completed courses, credentials and/or master's degrees at FPU. These well-prepared teachers have made and maintained our reputation for excellence in teacher preparation.
We have developed several pathways to become a teacher. We have a fast-track program for those who know very early in their college career that they want to be teachers. We offer programs for full-time students and for those who want to attend part-time. We also have an intern program for those who are highly qualified and who have been offered a contracted teaching position.
We offer our programs at several locations and have wonderful staff and faculty who are committed to helping you understand what you need to do to become a teacher.
